Psychodynamic therapy is based on psychoanalysis and the idea that our current difficulties can be related to our past experience, in ways that we don’t always know. By being curious about your relationships and repeating patterns, we would try and find the meaning behind how you act, feel and respond, to give you hope to develop in a different way.

Interpersonal psychotherapy is specifically about how relationships are linked to depression and vice versa. This is a short-term, evidenced based treatment which looks to reduce the symptoms associated with depression.

Your first therapy appointment is a one-off consultation, a chance for us to think about what is bothering you and think about whether I could try and help you.
